Smartphone Apps

Apps (short for applications) are small application programmes which can be installed on smartphones. They cover a wide range of services: from pure information to games and business applications.

As smartphones from the leading providers have different operating systems, functions and resources and the apps must be made available or obtained via the manufacturers’ shops, various device-related processes are derived during production which are essential to control. Besides the definition of the devices to be operated, implementation in a supported format must also therefore be ensured.

The design process must define the aim of the app. Is it to be made public for imaging purposes or will it act as support for sales employee or partners?

Learning apps provide extensive scope for conceptual design. Thus, pure information can be reproduced and supplemented by quiz questions. Also, the development of an interactive educational game can be realised as an app.

IMC develops exciting apps for all conventional devices and implements their ideas in an appealing design.

A wide variety of quiz questions ensures that the learning progress achieved is further strengthened. The basic version with 15 info pages and quiz questions is available free of charge through the Apple store.

Mobile Websites

Mobile websites are Internet sites that are tuned in terms of format, functions and processing, specifically to the requirements of mobile devices. By means of a CSS switch the website detects whether it is being called up by a mobile device and is modified accordingly. Content containing large amounts of data is, for instance, not displayed in order to optimise data transfer for mobile devices.

During development, it is ensured that different browsers are supported. IMC develops mobile websites both as a platform for playing back mobile educational games and for optimisation of classic e-learning content for mobile devices.
