Learning Games (Serious Games)

Learning Games, so-called Serious Games, are predestined for use in educational establishments of all kinds, as particularly the younger generation is familiar with the use of virtual worlds and new technology. In comparison to traditional learning programs, Serious Games support more complex learning processes by encouraging the learner to reflect on their own behaviour and actions.

Practical example: All-round health with Hanna and Leo

All-round health with Hanna and Leo – this is the motto of the 18 story-based learning game modules on health education.

The modules reflect the primary pupils’ environment and range from healthy diets, brushing teeth to adequate media consumption, social behaviour and choosing the right protective sports clothing. Each topic is embedded in a story which presents both protagonists, Hanna and Leo, in dialogue. By means of 2-4 exercises per module, the children work through the study material, reinforce their knowledge and apply what they have learnt to new situations. Fun and educational learning for children aged 5 and over for use in school and in leisure time.
